Breakfast was delicious, from the Dalmatian prosciutto and local cheese omelette with sliced tomatoes to the toasted bread, butter, and mixed berry jam. My cappuccinos were amazing, too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and our room was lovely and comfortable. It was quiet, set away from the main road. We had A/C and heated tile floors for the season, along with windows and skylights that open for natural ventilation. We’d love to stay again. Thank you, Sorgo Palace!

We were cycling from Italy to Albania with all our gear on the backs of our bikes, and spent one night at the Sogo Palace B&B in Ston, Croatia. It’s a lovely little B&B with the facilities you’d expect in this price range. We didn’t have dinner at the restaurant, and the included breakfast was just right. What really stood out happened after we left Ston. One of my tyres split, then the temporary inner tube blew out. I had no spare tyre, and the nearest bike shop was in Dubrovnik, so we limped back to Ston. The owner offered to drive me there to get the tyre replaced, 45 min each way and 20 waiting while the new one was fitted. I paid her for her time and fuel, but it was still far beyond what you’d expect. She even gave me a quick tour of Dubrovnik while we waited. I highly recommend the Sogo Palace B&B, especially its owner.

The owners arrange parking at the public lot if you send them your license plate information. It’s near the entry points off highway 414, which is handy, though you’ll need to walk into the walled old city with your luggage. Sorgo Palace is in a renovated old Ston building, with nicely finished bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The AC and fridge struggled a bit in the summer heat but worked well enough for our stay. Breakfast is made to order, including fresh seasonal fruit and omelettes.

I visited sorgo bed and breakfast in ston, peljesac Croatia in late April 2026. The stay felt magical, with a comfortable night’s sleep and fully working Internet. The building is a beautifully restored piece of history, with Renaissance/Baroque architecture from 14th century. It once belonged to the noble Sorgo family, important figures in the Republic of Ragusa, modern day Dubrovnik. The charming restaurant is attached to the B&B. I had the pleasure of meeting the family who own it, with Sanja and Ante warmly welcoming us on our first night and bringing pizza and Pržene lignje to the table outside for my wife and me. The atmosphere and the people were wonderful. I’m including a photo I took of St. Vlaho (St. Blaise) in the ground-floor seating area, looking over the dining tables. As patron saint of both Ston and Dubrovnik, he’s a lovely reminder of the town’s deep ties to the Republic. In the picture he’s shown as a bishop holding a model of the city, watching over the dining room as he has watched over Ston for centuries. It’s also really lovely to see work by local artists displayed by the proprietors. Eating and staying here means you’re sitting inside the history of Dubrovnik’s aristocracy. I absolutely love the venue, its ambience, and its people. Enjoy your trip to Ston and peljesac.

Modern inhabitants make this 600-year-old house feel alive. The owner is a lovely lady and very helpful.
