Hotel Matija Gubec

I haven't stayed at the hotel, but I've used the pool and had a massage. The service was outstanding and everyone was very welcoming. The location is great, and there's a lovely view outside. The pools are smaller than others, though. To me, the place seems geared mainly toward rehab or families with small kids.

We used to come three times a week, but this was our last visit. The place used to feel like a hidden gem, better than anywhere in Slovenia or BiH, and for 6.5e about a year and a half ago you got saunas and an open pool. It was reasonably clean and maintained, and 95% of things worked. Now the price has jumped to 17euro, while much of the pool setup is damaged. There are large patches where parts of the pool floor are missing, and the jets barely move a grass leaf. I can't see any effort to invest in repairs. The new fish tank lets fish nibble your toes, and they've hung tons of pictures on the walls as if they'd invented the idea. Good luck.

The pool area is nice, but the hotel itself feels very old, including the rooms and equipment. I wouldn't come back.

The rooms were so dirty that I honestly don't think they were cleaned. My friends and I came to relax, but the whole place felt disgusting and horrible. My friend's room flooded, and when the cleaning lady came, the water was GREEN. Several rooms got flooded. Some of the food wasn't cooked enough, either. This is the worst hotel I've ever been to. I'd rather get run over than stay here again.
