Bracic Apartments

A lovely place for a stay with kids. There are three bakeries and a supermarket across the road, plus some nice restaurants within walking distance. The hosts were great, and we'll be back. The yard has toys for children, a nice pool, and a jacuzzi and sauna available for a small fee. You can book a massage if you'd like. Coffee and water in the garden are free for all guests. We stayed just one night before our flight home. It was comfortable and reasonably priced for a short stop, with a bakery and well-stocked convenience store close by. The rooms were very clean and had what we needed, and the hosts looked after us well. The Airbnb photos felt a bit generous, though. The road is busy and somewhat noisy. The nearby town has plenty of restaurants and a pretty harbor area, with lovely sunsets.

Apartment 4 was far smaller than the advertised 46m2, nowhere near that size, perhaps half. It might reach 46m2 if the swimming pool were included. The garden also needs work, especially a thorough clean of the dirty sun loungers and pads. Cleanliness was poor inside too. The kitchen wall was greasy, and the utensils, dishes, and cutlery were dirty. The shower cubicle had mold, and there was a sewage smell in the bathroom. Parking was narrow and very limited, which caused disruption. After a day out, we might return to find no space, or have trouble leaving early because a car blocking us had no clear owner to contact. The hosts were often rude and hard to approach. Cigarette smoke lingered in the garden all day from early morning, whether we were eating there or not, and they didn't seem concerned that children were around. They tried to blame our kids for breaking a hot tub pillow, although it was already broken. When we challenged this, the host got very upset and threw the pad in the bin right in front of us. That was completely unacceptable. They seemed to lack customer service skills. When raising any issue, they would shout and threaten to close the pool or call the police. It was a disappointing stay and not worth what we paid. We often felt the opposite of welcome and relaxed, which is what you'd expect on holiday.

We'd stayed here three times in one year. On the third visit, the owner quoted 150eur for two nights in a two-bedroom apartment, then wanted 300eur at the end. That was a dirty trick, to say the least. He didn't care whether we ever came back, he wanted the 300eur. Be careful. You can find somewhere better for much less.
