Villa Village Idylle

The beds are really comfortable, and the pool is lovely. The management company got back to me quickly when I contacted them. The place could do with a revamp.

A nice villa with lots of amenities. We liked the pool and hot tub, though wasp season can put a damper on the fun.

The pool and chill-out area were nice, and the place has a lot of potential. But the rooms and beds weren't good, and the owner doesn't take care of the property. The jacuzzi didn't work, the kitchen was greasy and had hardly any cooking utensils, and it looked like the floor under the kitchen table and sofa hadn't been swept in ages. There were loads of mosquitoes inside and out, plus so many wasps it was uncomfortable. There must be a nest nearby. One sun lounger was broken, and a loose rock by the pool could be dangerous if you don't watch your step. On checkout day, the owner accused us of breaking things and demanded €100 in cash for the cleaning staff as compensation. It felt like an attempted scam. Avoid this place if you can.

We couldn't find the landlord when we arrived, and right away we noticed problems. Looking more closely only made things worse. The property was filthy and run down: dirty dishes, soiled beds, and a whirlpool too dirty to use. The loungers by the pool were broken and rotting on the neighboring property. In our view, the place was uninhabitable, and I'd strongly advise against booking it. The landlord was extremely unfriendly and uncooperative, and behaved in a very shady way. Stay away!
