Waterman Supetrus Resort

Croatia’s warm sea and beautiful nature were the only real highlights of our stay. The hotel was a major disappointment. It’s advertised as four stars and all-inclusive, but we had to pay extra for sunbeds, towels, some pools, and even the room safe. The rooms were small and dated, and didn’t look like the photos on Booking. Food was the weakest part: bland, repetitive, and often reused from earlier meals, with little variety. Children in particular might struggle to find something to eat. Drinks included in the package were poor quality. The beer always seemed watered down, and coffee was only available in the morning. Entertainment was badly organized. There were some activities for kids, but the kids’ club closed when the adult programs started, which was inconvenient for families. We paid more than 6000 EUR for 10 days and got very poor value. This didn’t meet a four-star standard, and I can’t recommend it to anyone who has experienced a real all-inclusive.

The animation team kept everyone entertained, and the cats around the resort were a sweet surprise. We especially enjoyed the Mexican nights and the delicious food. The staff made us feel like family, and our room was spotless and comfortable. We had an amazing stay at Waterman Svpetrvs Resort. Can’t wait to return, and maybe see a Cat Bar one day! 🐾😉

The location worked well as a base for getting around, and the room had an amazing view of the mountains and sunrise. We had plenty of food choices, and the food was good. The nice coffee cost extra, but it was worth it. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, especially the lovely receptionists. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

The location is lovely, close to the beach, with clean, nice grounds. Bring bug spray for the evenings. We made the best of our week and had a nice time, so if you’re already booked at the Kactus, don’t panic. Still, I won’t book Waterman again. It’s a very nice part of the world, but if you want a little luxury, I wouldn’t choose Waterman. I’ve stayed at a three-star all-inclusive that was better, and this felt like a disappointing all-inclusive rather than a four-star stay. The food was basic and repetitive, though nothing horrible. You might struggle if you don’t like pizza or pork stew. The drinks were the worst part, only one or two stars. I drank a lot of water. The non-alcoholic drink was sickly squash; alcoholic choices were mediocre red or white wine, beer my husband did enjoy, and cheap, nasty cocktails. There was no rosé or fizz. Last year I went to a four-star all-inclusive in Croatia with fizz and lovely cocktails like Hugo and Aperol, served with fruit garnish. They may not have been branded, but they were just as good. Waterman’s drinks were nowhere close. Better drinks cost extra, but didn’t look much better and the choices were still limited. There was no kettle in the room, so you had to go to reception for a hot drink in the morning. I can’t figure out the Kactus’ link to Svpetrvs. They’re both Waterman and next door to each other. I’ve seen staff reply to Svpetrvs reviews but not bother with Kactus reviews. Searching for Kactus on Google takes you to information about Svpetrvs, so check you’re looking at the right details.
