Hotel Lemongarden

Every part of our stay was amazing, and the whole team at Hotel Lemongarden went beyond our already high expectations. Can’t wait to return.

I spent five days at Hotel Lemongarden on Brač and would still rate it five stars, though breakfast on our first morning left me disappointed. The room, garden and pool are all beautiful. My favorite part was the hotel’s private beach, where the food and service were excellent. Dinner at the restaurant, though, wasn’t to my taste. The reception staff were competent and customer-focused, and fulfilled all our wishes to our complete satisfaction. The breakfast restaurant was the source of one negative experience. At 8:48 AM, we asked to sit outside at the waterfront tables, which hadn’t been set up yet. A waitress said breakfast was being served indoors because the weather was unstable. Around 30 minutes later, she and her colleagues started preparing those outdoor tables. As we were leaving, I asked why we hadn’t been allowed to sit outside. She said the tables weren’t ready. I asked why she hadn’t told us that from the start, since we’d gladly have waited. Instead of answering, she said I hadn’t been nice to her as a staff member and that she does everything she can for guests. I was very disappointed by the unclear communication and defensive response when a simple explanation would have been enough.

Sutivan is a charming village on the island of Brač. This lively hotel sits by the marina, with outstanding food, a great wine selection and professional service. A very authentic experience.

That rooftop patio at Hotel Lemongarden is where my boyfriend proposed, and I still think about the view of the coast from our suite. We spent two weeks traveling between Zagreb and Dubrovnik, along the coast and out to the islands, and this was easily the highlight. The whole place felt intimate and high end without being stuffy. Even the pool was more beautiful in person, and we were welcome to pick fruit growing on the grounds. The spa was a treat: we booked a time and had all the options to ourselves. Breakfast was included and amazing. The servers noticed on the first morning that we liked mimosas and brought them each day after that. At the restaurant, and especially at reception, Jelena and Sandra were so attentive and clearly cared about our stay. The staff at the private beach were just as lovely. The golf cart ride there is short and well worth it. The location was perfect, and they provided parking for our car, though we could hardly bring ourselves to leave. We’ll be back and plan to spend our whole vacation at Hotel Lemongarden.
