The owner is a very nice person, and the holiday home is in a great location, which makes this such a shame. We’ve stayed here several times, but probably won’t return. There haven’t been any renovations in recent years, and it shows in the wobbly doorknobs, very outdated kitchen, and incredibly uncomfortable beds. The cleaning staff only give the place a quick clean before departure and don’t seem to take the job very seriously. We stayed for two weeks and would have appreciated fresh bed linens after at least a week. There’s now just one parasol by the pool, and it’s broken. It feels like they’re only collecting the money without investing anything.

The balconies on both sides were lovely, and after we gave the apartment an extra clean and aired it out, we had a great week. We were four people in the 9-person apartment, which was fine for us, but it definitely isn’t suitable for nine. It seemed like it hadn’t been used for quite a while, and the furniture was very outdated. There was a smell of vinegar, smoke, and cat urine. The location was great, and so was the pool.

The location is generally nice, and there’s a large garden with a barbecue area and a pool. Both could be good features if they were better maintained. We found the simply furnished apartment had significant deferred maintenance inside and out, about what you’d expect for the price. It’s adequate as a base for overnight stays while exploring the area if your expectations are modest, but probably not right for a relaxing or dream vacation. One thing: the Wi-Fi router is in a ground-floor apartment. If the Wi-Fi isn’t working, go there and turn it on. Apparently, the apartments are unlocked when they’re not rented.

The landlord responded to complaints right away, and we got a new refrigerator within 30 minutes. The furniture was outdated, the bed in the bedroom was very lavender, and the grounds weren’t well maintained.
