The garden was beautifully kept, and the location was incredible, with great views and all the amenities close by. The swimming pool was simply amazing. We had a fantastic stay at Villa Paladin, and Ivan and the family were great hosts who answered our questions really quickly.
We chose to book the villa through Airbnb because the owner wanted cash paid straight into his bank account and wouldn't accept credit cards, which left us feeling we had no security. We paid more than £1200 as a deposit for next year. After two months, the owner cancelled our booking after taking a different direct booking, apparently because he would get less money through Airbnb. When we booked another villa, its owner told us this man was known in the area as 'difficult and unscrupulous'. Beware.
The villa looks just like the photos, and we enjoyed relaxing in the lovely pool and garden. It has rustic furnishings. Grandma Roza lives downstairs and mostly leaves you in peace, but was always there if we had questions. Check-in and check-out through Airbnb both went smoothly during our 10-day stay at Villa Paladin. The one small downside is the access road. I wouldn't recommend Croatia's roads for a low-slung car.
The swimming pool and terrace are decorated beautifully.
