Boutique Villa Marijini Dvori

We had a horrible stay because of the male owner. He was a bully, and I would never book here again. We chose the place through Booking because we liked the photos and that dogs were allowed, but that turned out to be a big disappointment. After we parked, I asked where the gate was so I could take our dog outside to go to the bathroom. He seemed annoyed, as if he would rather we let the dog pee in his yard. At around 8 pm, my cousin and her husband, who were staying a few houses down the street, came by for a glass of wine on the patio by the swimming pool. The owner said we couldn't have any guests. I explained they weren't staying in our room and had only come to greet us, but he still said absolutely no guests. There were four of us, all sixty years old, just having a glass of wine, and he made us feel like we were at a girls' school. The dog fee was €20.00 a day, which I found outrageous. At the end of the trip he also demanded cash for parking and the dog fee. I insisted on paying by credit card or bank transfer so I'd have proof. He threatened to call his police friends and said he was a policeman. I told him he wasn't getting cash, and his wife gave me a bank account to transfer the funds to. The owners marked us as a NO-SHOW on Booking, apparently because they knew they wouldn't get a good review. I contacted Booking and was told to get a receipt for payment as proof. I'm still trying to send Booking the documents so I can write a review there. I suspect they mark guests as NO-SHOW when they think the guest won't leave a positive review. Please don't believe what he writes.

The hosts’ hospitality was the best part of our stay. Our room was beautiful and clean, and the place is close to the beach with quiet nights. It’s a lovely spot for a holiday, and I’d recommend it to couples or families with kids.

Tribunj is wonderful, with local shops, restaurants, and a beautiful sea and coastline. The accommodation is absolutely lovely, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. I’ll definitely come back with my family.

Tomislav Bašić never made a reservation with me, and I didn’t cancel one at the last minute. The man seems to have problems and be jealous, so he’s exposing himself. If he’s supposedly Croatian, why write in English when Croatian is our country’s official language? 😂😂 Little souls 🙏
