Trogir is lovely, and it made for a great holiday destination!

We chose the apartment after seeing the positive reviews on Booking and Google, but were extremely disappointed. Hair of different lengths was scattered across the floor, bathroom, and shower, as the photos show. There was so much that I don't want to think about what might be in the carpet. The groove by the bathroom had hair, dirt, and heaps of dust, and we also found several ants in the room. One window was missing its shutter, and its fastening was damaged. We contacted the accommodation. The owner's sister came over to try to clean with a broom, but there wasn't even a vacuum cleaner. The hair just spread around the floor, and we kept finding more. We didn't want to stay another second.

We loved Trogir and would happily come back. We spent two nights in a studio for three on a very quiet old-town street. Check-in was fast, and we got plenty of recommendations. From the airport, bus 37 takes you to the station, about a 10-minute walk from the apartment. The ticket is €3.50. At the station, a ticket to Split is only €2, or you can get a return for €4 each. Remember to validate your tickets when boarding, since inspectors come through often. Boats to the beaches at Okrug Gornji run back and forth all day from the port beside the castle, at €5 per person each way. If you have time beyond exploring beautiful Trogir, cross the bridge to the left for some beaches within walking distance.
