Heritage Hotel Tragos

We stopped for lunch and had delicious food in a clean, cute, relaxed place. The staff were kind and attentive. We also spoke with the lady at reception, who kindly told us about beaches and historical sights.

The building was cute, the little restaurant downstairs was nice, and some of the staff were helpful. But after three nights, my husband had had enough of the bed. He'd assumed it just felt uncomfortable because it wasn't his usual bed. On the morning we left, he pulled back the sheet to see what was making it bumpy and found five holes about the size of my index finger in the mattress. Metal was sticking through two of them. He tried to tell management, and the man at the front desk literally yelled at him. The manager screeched that my husband complained too much and didn't even apologize. I'd like to see him try to sleep with metal poking through the mattress. Hopefully this review will let me post photos.

We had beef soup to start, and it was delicious. Then we tried Green Tagliatelle with Shrimps, a more unusual pasta, as well as Dalmatinska Pašticada, a Dalmatian specialty that's a must-try if you're staying in Croatia. We had lunch here at noon in July, and the old streets around it offered plenty of shade from the sun. I wonder what staying here is like and how much it costs, but I can say the food is really good.

As a woman travelling on my own, I felt safe here. It was clean, in a great location, and every staff member was friendly and helpful with my questions. The owners and team went out of their way to make the stay memorable. I'll definitely recommend it to friends and family.
