Tony was very kind, and the rooms were spacious and clean, with good value for the price. We picked Palace Derossi because it's close to the bus station, which made catching an early airport bus convenient. For a better guest experience, I'd suggest making the rooftop Jacuzzi available, since it's an appealing amenity that could affect someone's booking choice. I'd also replace the gray towels with white ones, as the gray gave a slightly unclean impression. I'd recommend Palace Derossi for a convenient night in Trogir before a flight. For a longer stay, bear in mind that nearby bars can play loud music.

After almost two months of travelling, this was exactly what I needed. Tin was friendly and helpful, and I was surprised by how large both the room and bathroom were. The courtyard outside the room was a lovely touch. The location was perfect, near the supermarket, main bus station, city centre, cafes, and lovely views along the promenade. The nearby bar can get a bit loud if you're sensitive to music.

The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, and Tin was so friendly and helpful. Just about perfect, except there's a club right outside the window that can be loud late into the night.

The room and location were good, but everything else was overshadowed by what we witnessed: the hotel owner physically attacked a young, defenseless guest, dragging her by the hair across the floor during an argument about a fee that hadn't been clearly explained in advance. The parking ticket had been offered the night before, and no one said it would cost money. We wouldn't have accepted it had we known. We were rushing to the airport at checkout when they told us about the charge, and naturally we were upset. Prior reviews even mention someone else experiencing what we felt was the same scam. The man we spoke with called his manager instead of addressing our concern. She started hitting the female guest and yelling at her to get out of the hotel. The guest did not become physical at any point, though she raised her voice out of frustration. We had to leave because the manager couldn't be reasoned with. In my 25-plus years of traveling around the world, from hostels to good establishments, I've never witnessed behavior like this. I wish there had been CCTV footage to show what happened. Hotel staff, especially management, should de-escalate tense situations, not use violence. There was no apology or accountability, and nothing to suggest the hotel considered this unacceptable. The only staff member who seemed concerned and tried to calm her boss was a young Asian woman who had been cleaning tables nearby. It made me wonder whether this had happened before or whether the manager has anger issues. Don't take anger out on paying guests or resort to violence, whatever the situation. This was shocking and deeply unsettling. No matter how nice the amenities, a hotel that uses violence against paying guests is a place to avoid. It's a shame our otherwise lovely two-week holiday in Croatia ended this way. The rest of the trip was gorgeous. Avoid!

We had a room with its own small patio and would happily stay again. This lovely little hotel sits at the edge of the old town, and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Triple glazing did a great job of blocking out the town's lively nightlife. The showers were small, but there was plenty of warm water, and the air conditioning was amazing.
