Villa Jadran Hotel

The walk to the Old Town Center and Marina takes about 10 minutes, passing supermarkets and places to eat on the way. The location is handy, but don't bother paying extra for breakfast. If you can get hold of someone after booking, ask for a specific room and avoid the ground floor. Only three or four rooms look out over the water. The rest face other buildings, or worse. Two people in our group had to share the only room available on the ground floor, with windows overlooking the back parking lot and trash cans. It was dark and depressing, like a hole in the wall, with everyone's cars right outside. We got a room on the second floor with the best water view, but it had no hot water. There was nobody around after 8 pm, so when we came back from town, we had to take a cold shower. The rooms also have old-fashioned TVs, if that's your thing. We paid extra for breakfast, then saw how dirty the eating area was and decided to eat elsewhere. The WiFi was very slow and kept cutting out. There were cheap consumer-grade access points plugged into the wall sockets along the stairs. At around $80 per room, there must be better options nearby.

We'd originally planned to stay in another house, but our time at Villa Jadran turned out better than we'd hoped. The accommodation was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We spent time sunbathing on the balcony with its view over Trogir and the clear sea. The nearby agency gave us extra discounts, so we rented a scooter. We also took a walking tour and a trip to the island of Hvar, both discounted, and got to learn about the area from a professional guide. Nothing but praise from us. We'll definitely come back!

Everything was great. The room was nice and had a balcony, and the location was very good: a three-minute walk to the beach and ten minutes to the center. I'd recommend it!

Mira is a star. She makes things happen, and without her I wouldn't recommend this place. There were far too many people staying in the villa at once during our week there.
