We paid 536 euros for 10 days, then spent around 2300 euros more overall. The room was expensive for what it offered and lacked basic comforts: the bathroom was in the hallway, there was no fridge, microwave, cutlery, dishes, table, terrace, or balcony, and the old bed and furniture weren’t comfortable. There was only a chair in the room. With our young child and nowhere to eat, the bed got dirty, but no vacuum was provided when we asked. Linens weren’t changed on their own during our 10 days, and towels weren’t replaced even when we were ill. The landlady did bring a kettle when we requested one and sometimes heated food for our son. There was air conditioning and WiFi, but we got many mosquito bites and were criticized for using the air conditioning. The owners use the small terrace themselves, and there’s no guest terrace or balcony. There are no nearby restaurants, so eating out means taking a bus or car. The nearby small supermarket is expensive. The accommodation is on a busy, dangerous coastal road with heavy traffic and no sidewalk. It also cost a lot to upgrade to an apartment with a kitchen and rent a car locally. The booking platform’s response was unfriendly, and our complaints were shared with the owner, after which the hosts became unfriendly. That raised privacy concerns. There’s no room service, but entering our room while we were away was unacceptable. This was the worst place I’ve stayed in Croatia. For the price, the room didn’t provide basic amenities or comfort, and the location felt inconvenient and unsafe. The host and platform handled things poorly. The hosts seemed not to like children and would shout “Hello” when our child was just walking around the room. Even when we were sick, there was no consideration and no fresh towels. I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay, especially with a family. You can find a more affordable, enjoyable holiday elsewhere in Croatia.
