Podpeć makes a lovely quiet base, with a stunning view across the Makarska coast from the mountains. The beautifully restored village feels tucked away, yet Makarska's old town and harbour, along with Tucepi's lively bathing beach, are only about 10 minutes away. We enjoyed every minute. Many thanks to the lovely Selak family, especially for reserving a parking space right by Tucepi beach.
We had everything we needed for our 13 days, and the host, a pleasant gentleman, clearly looks after this lovely retreat. It was a wonderful holiday with our three young children, aged 0-7. Villa Vesna is peaceful and has a beautiful view. The drive up is quite steep, though even our Opel Vivaro van made it with a skilled driver. We’ll remember the cozy setting, well away from the crowded resorts by the sea.
