Torretta Palace Hotel

The sewage smell was there as soon as I arrived. I told reception right away. They said no other rooms were available and promised to fix it, but by afternoon it had become worse, so I spent more time on the terrace. I was there for work and also told them there was no phone signal or internet in my room, which made working impossible. I tried to make coffee and found green water in the coffee maker. I cut my stay short and had to wash all my clothes because of the smell. I hadn't even taken one suitcase out of the car. When I asked for a discount because the sewage issue had made the stay so unpleasant and I couldn't work without a signal, the man at reception wanted to call the police. He also insulted me, asking what kind of bad guest would object to the service. Kindness can go a long way toward keeping customers satisfied, even when mistakes happen. I left in shock. A very unpleasant experience, and I don't recommend it.

The location is right by the sea, with sunbeds on a floating deck for hotel guests and beaches just a few steps away. Parking is free, and there are a minimarket and other restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good, and the pool and hot tub were nice, though the tub was too cold in the morning since it wasn't covered overnight. We stayed three nights, but the rental bikes weren't working and never got repaired. The minibar wasn't cold, and there was no coffee option in the room. The elevator serves only the main building. Our attached building was one story, with no view, and had the pool and hot tub.

The beach is very close, and although there's a road in front, it's mainly for pedestrians. Cars are allowed only for people who live there. Our room was clean and pleasant, and the staff were lovely. The woman at reception especially helped us with extra linens, taxis, and advice about the beaches. Breakfast has what you need, though it could get repetitive after a couple of days. The champagne they serve in the morning was a nice surprise. We were very happy with our stay, five out of five. Thank you!

From the sea-view suite, we had a gorgeous view of the port and the church clock. It's a lovely boutique hotel, and the small village feels intimate while still having what you need, including good restaurants, cafes, and shops.
