Hotel Pelegrin Plava Laguna

The beach was clean and the view was lovely. The hotel had also been freshly renovated, and everything felt clean. The food was a little bland, which was its weak point. Still, I’d recommend staying here.

We were a family of five, two adults and three kids aged 9, 9, and 12, staying for seven nights while watching ATP tennis and attending the camp next door. The pool area was quiet, and we preferred its cooler salt water to chlorine. We felt relaxed and well looked after, though the hotel didn’t feel like a five-star property. Breakfast could have been better for that rating. The room was also uncomfortably warm: they said 23.5 degrees was the standard and couldn’t lower it, and it felt even hotter at night.

I’ve stayed at different Lagunas, and Coral felt much more private and premium than the others. It was quiet, with a cosy stretch by the sea, plenty of towels, trees, and very high-quality equipment. The place is large but somehow still feels intimate. The furniture and outdoor beds were great, and the cold pool was a blast. The guests and atmosphere gave it a business-class feel, while the other Lagunas seemed more like economy class. The casino felt a bit out of place, but it didn’t spoil my stay. I had a really nice time and wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else. Thanks, Coral! I’m not trying to be harsh with the feedback below, the place is already great and could be extraordinary.

The staff are really kind and friendly, and they deserve a nicer place to work. The rooms could use some renovation and fresh paint. In the bathroom, the radiator didn’t work, so there was nowhere to dry our swimming trunks after using the indoor pool. The parking area was muddy and slippery and needs cleaning. The food could be more varied, and figuring out which room switch controls which light was tricky. As of 01/2024, many roads were under construction and hard to access.
