Hotel Sipar Plava Laguna

For a late September stay, it was pretty mediocre. The pool isn’t heated, so swimming then is out. The breakfast buffet was okay, but nowhere near worth the price. The location is nice, although it’s a long walk to the town centre. Sleeping past 7.00am wasn’t possible, with plenty of off-season visitors making noise and showing little respect for the quiet.

The beach was lovely and well cared for, and there’s a small water park for kids. We also appreciated that electric car charging was free. Food was good, and the atmosphere was calm during our pleasant few days at Hotel Sipar Plava Laguna in September 2024. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Most guests were German, and the service had a similarly organized, efficient feel. It’s a solid option for a relaxing seaside break.

We stayed for a week in September 2025 through a Slovak travel agency. The shared areas were clean and well maintained, and I’d like to thank all the staff. They do a hard job very well, and we felt welcome. Our room needed more attention. The ceiling had odd paint marks, with different paint used in just two spots, and the shower mold was especially disappointing. I did enjoy the dinners, though the meal felt a bit disorganized because of the other guests. As a parent, I’d also welcome outlet covers in the indoor play area for children.

Katja at the bar deserves a special mention. Her Café Americano each day was perfect and practically saved our holiday. I hope she gets a raise, she really deserves it. We’d also have liked the bar to open at 7:00 AM, since the breakfast coffee wasn’t great and early mornings were a bit of a struggle. The beachside restaurant belonging to the aquapark let us down on service. We ate there four times, and each visit had a problem: a meal was missing from the order, the bill took ten minutes, and once we had to ask for it ourselves. Sparkling water arrived still each time. The food itself was okay, but service needs work. We spent seven days here as a family and had a lovely holiday. The resort is beautiful, with a thoughtfully designed playground full of activities, good pools and aquapark, all within an easy walk. Parking was easy, the rooms were clean and nicely furnished, housekeeping staff were friendly, and the hotel was exceptionally clean overall. The food was good and offered something for everyone, though I would have liked more fresh vegetables. We hope to notice improvements when we return. It was a great stay, and we’d happily come back.
