Posh Villa in Vabriga with High-End Kitchen & Pool

Dear all, The holiday was good overall, but our experience with the operators of Villa Borghetto after checkout was very unpleasant. We left the Adele spotless and got written confirmation of that, yet our €1,500 deposit wasn’t returned. Until then, our contact with them had been friendly and regular, and it seemed there was no problem. The same happened to our friends, who had rented another villa from them. We exchanged emails saying things like “Money was sent today,” but ended up having to take legal action. After two years in the Croatian courts, and €600 spent on translations, legal counsel, and other costs, we finally recovered the money. The court had to force them to pay. No one ever claimed that we, or the other family, had broken anything. I’m glad we got at least some of the money back, including for the other family, but I can’t recommend these people. This behavior is unacceptable. There are plenty of other places in Croatia run by decent people, so don’t go to Borghetto Villas. Best regards, Patrick
