Getting to the beach and a few restaurants on foot was easy. The apartment itself had several problems. The bathroom window wouldn’t open, and neither would the main window work properly. The bracket for the sunshade was very dirty or furred up, perhaps rusty. Communication was difficult because the landlord spoke neither English nor German. Two lights, one above the bathroom mirror and one in the kitchen, didn’t work, though we were told they would be repaired. There was an exposed, poorly secured cable hanging over the bathroom door, which felt unsafe. Mold had been painted over in the bathroom, and the large rain shower was completely furred up. We were also not allowed to use the garden, even though it had been praised before and after our stay and helped convince us to book. The owner's dog was off leash around 80% of the time.

This apartment felt far too expensive for what was there. Several things were old or damaged, including the shower, TV, lights, and sockets. The website photos were misleading too, showing places like a beach or rope park that seemed to be somewhere else entirely.

I stayed at Voćarska ul. 22a in August 2025 and really liked the apartment. It’s small, but thoughtfully arranged and had all the essentials. There was a lovely large set of dishes and plenty of towels, and everything was clean and pleasant. Many thanks to the host and hostess for making us feel so welcome!
