The kids had a brilliant time, especially at the inflatable aqua park on the sea, the trampoline park and the net adventure area. We also tried the upstairs restaurant a few times and loved the food and service. The children got ice creams every day from the restaurant downstairs, and we had black coffees. The service there was exceptional too. Two waiters kindly helped when my daughter was unwell on a Sunday and the local pharmacy was shut. I’m really grateful to them both, thank you! Our accommodation was clean, quiet, had everything we needed, and looked out over the harbour. The pools were clean, and we could usually find a deckchair. Most of the staff we met were friendly and helpful, though the service at the initial reception area was below average and disappointing. I’d recommend the venue to families looking for an affordable holiday in a nice location with plenty to do. Lovely holiday, the kids loved it!

Advanrire park is amazing and really nice. The site itself feels dated and needs renovation. The space and atmosphere are okay, but cleanliness is questionable and the rooms have a stale smell. Paying a €20 deposit for a hairdryer makes no sense. The internet is so bad that, in 2026, I’d almost rather they had none at all. That quality of connection in Europe is unacceptable. At checkout we had to stand in line for half an hour.

Bi Village is in a great spot near the beach and the charming town of Fažana. There are plenty of activities, pools and restaurants, which works well for families. It was fun as long as you’re flexible and don’t expect luxury. Some facilities look worn, and reception service could be better. The quality of the mobile homes varies, and ours had a few maintenance problems. The beach is rocky, so bring water shoes.

I prefer smaller places, so this large camping area felt a bit too big for me, though it still had a cozy feel. There were lots of people, and the pools were packed. They closed from 13:00 to 15:00 during siesta, but even so people played ball and jumped in despite the rules, which made swimming uncomfortable in such a crowd. The facilities were very clean, with spacious pitches, plenty of service buildings, large washing machines, and some maintenance buildings that had been renovated. You needed a wristband to get into the pools and beach. The dog beach was nice, but far from where we stayed. The restaurants were mediocre, except the dessert place had delicious waffles and pancakes. There were lots of boat trips, and the nearby town was small and charming. Pula was a short drive away. There was also a great trampoline park, and we found a barber who gave the boys their haircuts really quickly.

The site’s location made the trip worthwhile. Croatia is beautiful, the walk to Fažana at sunset is lovely, and the bus to Pula takes about 15 minutes and is cheap. There’s plenty to do at the camp, though it all costs extra. We also spotted little salamanders everywhere, which was pretty cool. Our first impressions on Saturday evening were good: we got the keys and a map, saw lots of trees and plants, and had a lovely sea view as we walked down to the cabin. We stayed in a premium lodge with two bedrooms for up to five people, two bathrooms, a small kitchen and living area, plus deck chairs and a table outside. It was comfortable and clean enough, with very comfortable beds and excellent water pressure. The lodge got cold at night, but there were plenty of blankets. As the week went on, the maintenance problems became hard to ignore. Loose wall sockets tripped the electrics, and water poured in through the kids’ bedroom window and our bathroom window during a storm. The cleaning staff brought extra towels and blankets, which was kind of them, but the windows shouldn’t have leaked. Two of the four bedroom lamps didn’t work. One air conditioning unit only blew warm air. The shower itself was really good, but its door came off the runner several times, and one shower drain smelled like rotten vegetables. There was black mold in the shower too. The deck boards were loose, and some of the rails had snapped. The place is badly in need of maintenance. The pools were clean and looked after, but even off peak there weren’t enough sunbeds. At each pool, most days they were all taken. The little on-site supermarket was hit and miss for stock, perhaps because we went off season. I’d heard great things about the bakery, but it was just okay. The fresh bread was nice enough, though it didn’t wow me. Prices in the supermarket were crazy, for example €25 for sun cream that was available at the bigger local supermarket five minutes away. The restaurants were good, especially the one near the beach, and the pizza there was among the best I’ve had, but expect high prices. One last tip: don’t take the taxis at Pula airport. We paid €68 for a 12-minute drive, even though online it says around €25. The meter is on the driver’s phone, so it’s best to book ahead. Buy sun cream before you go, and use the larger supermarket down the hill for better prices and more choice. Was it worth it? Yes, the location and Croatia made the trip worthwhile.
