Villa Malin

Apartment # 4 has been the best place I've stayed during nine years of vacationing in Croatia and along its beautiful coast, always in private apartments. It's up to the highest standard. The ground-floor location was great to come back to after a full day, and the private parking had room without blocking anyone else. The apartment has modern furniture and plenty of nick nacks. The listing was accurate, and they also supplied towels, toilet paper, toiletries, and enough bedding to keep us warm. The kitchen had everything we might need for cooking. Best of all, there are TWO FULL BATHROOMS, with great water pressure and hot water right away. The toilets have two flush settings, think planet Earth. There's also a great patio with a jacuzzi, though we didn't use it because the beautiful, warm Adriatic sea was literally just steps away down the private path. That path ends at a gate, so there were no random people and no noise. Before the gate, a private terrace with chairs gave us a place to lounge in the sun without beach-goers seeing us. When it got hot, we could just go through the gate and step into the sea. There are lots of restaurants nearby, plus a bakery and store, all within walking distance. On the beach you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, and similar toys, and there's a nearby water obstacle course for both kids and adults. Book this wonderful apartment and you won't regret it, I guarantee that.

The furniture and the whole place were in poor condition. The baby chair provided for our one-year-old was dirty, and we had to clean it ourselves. The apartment shown in the photos in the offer was different from the one we got, and we chose based on those pictures. It felt like a fake offer.

We spent 10 days in Apartment 18, which was spacious enough for four. Some furnishings needed fixing or proper assembly, but that didn't affect our holiday. If we had a complaint, we could contact someone by phone in German or by email. We liked the nearby beach access, clear sea, friendly fellow residents, and how easy it was to get around on foot. There's also a bakery about a 10-minute walk away and several restaurants. The large balcony looks onto the street and parking lot, with a construction site opposite. Work stopped around 4:00 pm, and it was relatively quiet afterward. A smaller balcony has a sea view. Nights were generally quiet when other guests were considerate, so that depended on how much peace they allowed their neighbors. If we come back, we'll bring our bicycles. There's a parking garage in the underground lot, with its entrance to the left of the building.

Malin wouldn't cooperate with our request to cancel, despite the COVID-19 regulations. The communication was disgraceful for a provider who should treat guests appropriately. We warn people against this hotel and apartment provider.
