The restaurant was a highlight, and Darko and Danika were excellent. Bar service was generally very good too, though one barman was an exception. You can get snacks at the bar, but they aren’t listed on the menu. Breakfast was okay, with the hot choices only lukewarm; the cold food was fine. The hotel is central, has free parking options, and the clean rooms are comfortable. For English guests, the main drawback is that there’s no non-smoking area outside, where many guests and locals smoke.

The location is close to the historic part of town, and the staff are polite and responsive. The rooms are cozy and nice, but there was no cleaning service for three days. Water shortages on the sixth floor happened often, and on windy days the poorly insulated windows let the wind into the room.

The restaurant is clean and pleasant, and the food tastes very good. The hotel has been renovated, with everything feeling new and modern. Our room was clean, and the facilities were all in good condition. The parking area is large enough, but its standard falls short of the rooms and restaurant.

Four rooms were robbed during my stay. The burglars had obtained a master key to get into the rooms and also knew how to open the in-room safes. The hotel says reception had no staff in the middle of the day, even though there had always been four people there, and claims the burglars knew where the security cameras were and avoided them. It all seems like an inside job to me. I don't consider this a safe place to stay. The owner's service afterward has been very poor and not at all helpful. Given this serious failure in hotel security, the hotel should be doing everything possible to help guests and find a good solution. The owner has not been service-minded.
