Park Boutique Hotel

The rooms were very clean and nice. The trouble is, the hotel can’t offer a parking place, even to paying guests.

Set beside a park, this is a beautiful hotel with lovely design. 😍

The central location is excellent, and the hotel is modern with helpful reception staff. The rooms looked nice at first, but the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Getting bags up the awkward stairs to the attic room was difficult, and we couldn’t control the air conditioning. Restaurant service was very average, and breakfast could have been much better for the room price. Bring earplugs if you stay, since the church bells ring every hour, all through the night.

The facilities are great, but the stay itself was ridiculous. We were there one night and couldn’t sleep. They didn’t mention that the hotel faces a church whose bells ring every 15 minutes. Our room had an automatic tilt window left open, hidden behind the curtains. We thought the sound insulation was poor and didn’t expect bells all night. We only found the open window in the middle of the night. The next morning, when we complained at the front desk, they said we should have asked them. They also said next time, which there won’t be, we should request a room on the park side. Those are cheaper because they face the street, apparently, and 120€ is too cheap to expect to sleep. We booked a double room but got two twin beds, and were told we should have requested a double when booking. The included breakfast was so bad. The coffee was instant, even though there was a nice espresso machine there, and we had to pay extra for a decent coffee. The spare pillows in the bedroom had no pillowcases, so how were we supposed to use them? On top of that, they had a booking problem and made us pay a second time instead of sorting it out themselves, hoping Booking would refund us. That still remains to be seen.
