The balcony has a good view, and you can get into town on foot or by water taxi. The room is small, and the toilet could use some freshening up. People smoke inside the building. We didn't feel safe swimming right out front, though it is possible to swim there.

We stayed at Apartments Vala for two weeks in Croatia, and it was our favorite place to stay. Vladimir took our booking by phone and greeted us warmly. He speaks excellent English. The house is outside town in peaceful natural surroundings, with private parking. A small rocky beach is just outside: open the door and you're by the water after a 30-second walk. Our renovated flat had a bedroom, private bathroom, sea-view balcony and a kitchen with a small stove, fridge, microwave and kettle. There's also a lovely wooded path by the water, great for a morning walk or run.

We had a spacious, pleasant apartment, number 4, with two balconies. The receptionist was wonderful, friendly and the kind of person who can sort things out. The view takes in the city and boat traffic, and it's just a few steps down to the rocky shore, where there's a small paved sun deck.

That balcony looking over the sea and Vela luka town is beautiful. The apartment has everything for a nice holiday, and the private beach right below is the best part. So peaceful, with pine scent and clear water. Highly recommend.
