The hosts were very helpful and gave us the information we needed. The stone house sits among olive groves, with a lovely terrace and welcome shade from a carob tree. It runs on solar power but still has the amenities for a comfortable stay, whether you're a couple or a family. Vela Luka is nearby for supplies, and you can reach several beaches on foot or drive to ones farther away. We’d love to come back.

The walk to the nearest beach takes about 10 minutes, though the path is steep. There are also lovely coves and beaches around a 10-minute drive away. Parking is beside the house, and a capable driver can even get a truck into the yard. With a very large car and little driving experience, you may need to leave it nearby, up to 70-100 meters away. The owner was friendly and provided everything we needed. Cottage house Oreb's was beautiful, clean, and even better than we expected from the photos and description. It's peaceful, with almost no neighbors, and the garden and terraces under the olive and carob trees stay shaded for much of the day. The listing clearly says there is no air conditioning or large plasma TV, so I don't understand the complaints about those things. The details about the location are there too. To the frustrated guest from a year ago, if you travel as much as you say, it's odd not to check the elevation on a map and work out how steep the walk to the nearest beach will be. The house is just as described, only better. I really can't believe how vain some people can be, and wanted to set the record straight about this lovely place. Our stay in Oreb's cottage house was amazing. We'd be happy to return, hopefully before long. Thank you :)
I travel a lot, but I've never seen anything like this. The house was a disaster, far from town, with no air conditioning and water that wasn't drinkable. There was only 2l of hot water for a shower. The Slovenian owner was very unfriendly. You can't get to the house unless you arrive in an off-road vehicle. We had to carry our luggage half a kilometer. The pictures are all staged. There's no private beach, and you have to walk steeply up and down as if climbing Mount Everest. The owner comes by every day to check on you. I don't recommend it. It's a disaster and far too expensive for what you get. They lie and are unfriendly, and I hope this house is closed forever. My family and I moved out. I'll sue them and get all my money back. DISASTER.
It's a snug, well-equipped house away from the city's bustle, with all the appliances you need. There isn't air conditioning because it runs on solar panels. The private beach nearby is quite steep, though. Still, I'd definitely recommend it :)
It was alright.
