We spent October 5th to 18th, 2025, at the villa, four adults in all. It’s a secluded, cozy place that suits anyone who loves nature and peace and quiet. Vela Luka, with its shops and restaurants, is about a 15-minute drive away. The road has quite a few potholes, and the driveway up to the house is steep. My low-horsepower Fiat 500 struggled with it. The outdoor space is comfortable, with loungers, a big dining table, and benches. We ate dinner outside several times. The living room has a wood-burning stove, which we used on the cool mornings and evenings. During the day it was warm enough for a swim in the sea. Mosquito nets cover the main windows and doors. The kitchen has plenty of equipment, including a large fridge and freezer, a gas stove and oven, dish towels, sponges, dish soap, spices, vinegar, and oil. There were plenty of hand and bath towels in the bathroom, as well as shower gel, soap, handwashing detergent, and toilet paper. The bedroom is spacious with lots of storage, and even has a guitar. The mattress suited us, not too soft or too hard. Power comes from solar panels and was enough even on cloudy days, but you can’t charge an electric car there. The place isn’t suitable for people using a walker or wheelchair, with the sea access, stairs to one bedroom, and outdoor steps. Small children can only get into the sea with an adult helping them. The nearest restaurants are in Vela Luka. We liked Restaurant Nautika by the harbor for its wide choice of food, including pizza, Croatian specialties, vegetarian dishes, and fish. Croatian wine is available too. The prices felt good for what you get, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Marko, the landlord, checked in with us regularly and replied quickly to WhatsApp messages. We highly recommend the stay. We also had visits from up to 10 neighborhood cats.

Sunset is right in front of the house, and every evening it’s a spectacle. The shutters help keep the rooms from overheating in the sun, and the interior is practical and easy to get around. The photos are completely authentic, just as the previous reviewer said. The house is nicely secluded. From the two neighboring houses, about 75 meters away, you might occasionally hear laughter, but that’s about it. The village on the other side of the island can’t be seen. The road is paved for almost all of the way, with about 100 meters of good gravel in the middle. It’s an easy six-minute drive for the roughly four kilometers to the village. If you’re renting a car, a diesel makes the hills more relaxing. Bring a camera, too, since the views on the drive are spectacular. In the village you can get what you need. Tommy Market at the southern end is the main market, and the prices vary quite a bit. Anything even remotely home-grown is very affordable, while goods brought by ferry cost more. For instance, sea bream is around €4 a piece and 250ml of suntan oil is around €12. There are cheaper things around if you know where to shop. Watch where locals go, especially if they come out of back alleys carrying groceries. People in the area are mostly helpful and open-minded. It’s lovely to see how patiently they help each other. Just join in: help load something into a car, give way, or wave someone out of a parking space. It costs nothing and makes things easier for everyone. Marko, the landlord, is a friendly, helpful young man. He’s clearly made many things himself, keeps up his grandmother’s olive oil farming out of tradition, and has built a foothold with the house while also holding a job. He speaks good English. He’s very attentive to guests and safety, with fire extinguishers on site, something I hadn’t found in any Robinson Crusoe house before. Some details are thoughtfully made, like the homemade mosquito screens that fit perfectly. We had a wonderful stay, a great mix of beach time, local culture, and relaxing. Having Marko there as a backup made everything easy. There were two of us, and for one week four people stayed across two houses. Six would only work if you know each other very well, or want to get to know each other very well. We all agreed we’d love to come back.

We were a family with three children and felt so at home here. The place is peaceful and beautiful, and it really is as breathtaking as the pictures. Marco is kind, dedicated, and always willing to help. You can tell he put his heart into the house. The stunning view made our holiday feel truly special.

We slept incredibly well, thanks to the comfortable beds in the house and the loungers outside. The place is so peaceful, and the sea entry is fantastic, you can practically walk straight into the water. We were four people and the solar panels gave us more than enough power, we didn’t use even a quarter. The houses are comfortable and have everything you need. There was nothing we could complain about. We felt completely at ease and didn’t want to go home. If you love peace and quiet, this is an ideal spot. Marko is a very kind owner, attentive to guests, always reachable, and goes out of his way to help make the holiday wonderful. Thank you, Marko! It was fantastic! 😀 We’ll definitely return to this house.
