Best Western Airport Hotel Stella

The room’s strong, unpleasant smell kept me from sleeping, and I got only four hours of rest, at least with the window wide open for fresh air in December. The smell hit as soon as the door opened from the corridor. The receptionist came up to check and was shocked too. She tried to find clean replacement linens, but the hotel had none, and there was no other room available. She called the main manager, who refused to help. The room also had old furniture and an air conditioner that was so loud I couldn’t use it. In the morning, the manager showed no concern or professionalism. This stay affected my health, rest, and work the next day. My experience at Best Western Hotel Stella was unacceptable and far below a reasonable hotel standard. I strongly advise avoiding this property.

The rooms smelled strongly of smoke, the photos made the place look nicer than it was, and I slept terribly. It is close to the airport, but getting the shuttle was ridiculous: the website says to call, then when we did, we were told to “use your uber app.” The shuttle costs €15 one way, if they let you book it to the airport.

The team is amazing, and Maja is a real star. Breakfast has lots of choices, though the eggs could be warmer. For work, there’s a wide desk and fast Wi-Fi, and the spacious rooms are comfortable and spotless. The bathroom is huge, with fluffy towels. My only real improvement would be stronger shower pressure. A very good business hotel.

Breakfast was 10/10, and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. It’s a short drive from the airport, and you can reach the city centre by car or take a bus to the main train station, with buses running every five minutes. We had a wonderful stay.
