Hotel Garden Hill

The employees were polite and happy to offer help, with clear instructions. Our room was very clean and spacious, and there was free parking out front. Breakfast was delicious and such a huge serving that one person could hardly finish it. I honestly recommend this hotel, it was a wonderful experience. If everyone offered this kind of hospitality, it would be a win for all.

We were here for a football tournament, and the food was fantastic, made with good-quality ingredients. The staff were excellent, especially at reception and the bar, where people were professional, friendly, accommodating, and cheerful. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely, clean, and spacious, with a mini fridge. It's centrally located, close to Zagreb airport and within walking distance of the Verona golika. The town is about a 1.2 km walk, with a museum and lots of shops. They have two Finnish saunas and two jacuzzis. I'd recommend this hotel.

The beds were super comfortable, and I liked how much natural light came into my clean room. It's close to the airport and well priced. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety, though vegan choices may be limited for Zagreb. If you're used to “politicians expanding the taxes to decadent levels of luxury,” you probably won't feel in your element here. Walking takes about 55 minutes. Some stretches have no sidewalk, and the route goes under a tiny tunnel where you'll be very close to cars. In places, you'll need to carry your suitcase or drag it through grass and mud. I wouldn't recommend the walk in summer.

I picked this hotel because I had an airport departure the next morning. The rooms were spacious and up to a very good standard. The reception and restaurant Team were great, and the hotel was clean and well organized.
