Such a peaceful, quiet place, with a lovely garden and spacious rooms. We had a balcony and really enjoyed having coffee and breakfast outside. The hosts were very accommodating and reliable, and it felt safe and calm.

We had a wonderful two weeks, and the location was good: the small harbor, beach, and beach bar are just 300 meters away, with other little beaches within walking distance. Restaurants are about a 10-15 minute walk. Banjole is a small, quiet town with relatively few tourist attractions, and there's parking at the house. Inside, the apartment was a decent size, with a lovely little terrace and comfortable beds. The furnishings are basic and somewhat dated, the bathroom is very small, and the kitchen works but is rather sparsely equipped. Air conditioning is only in one bedroom, though the apartment stayed comfortably warm overall. Communication with the landlord was occasionally difficult because of the language barrier, but everything worked out well in the end. Thank you.

The location is very quiet and the surroundings are nice, with a big terrace that was pleasant to sit on. But Apartment N1 on the ground floor needs renovation. Everything is old and slowly falling apart, there's a musty smell, and the mattresses are worn out.

We had to cancel our trip after an accident, so we called the landlord that same day to let him know. Cancellation fees were due the following day, even though we would have sent someone else then. The gentleman told the agency nobody had called and cancelled the booking. By the time we could arrange another guest, the apartment had been rented out, so we were charged twice. Being ripped off like this can take away any interest in Croatia. They should remember that tourism is how they make their living.

I can only speak about our apartment, and we may simply be used to different standards in Germany! The main issue for us was how run down it felt. The furniture looked like it was from the early 1990s, with broken hinges and peeling veneer, and there was a broken porcelain bedside lamp in the bedroom/kitchen area. The rooms smelled a bit musty. One bedroom had a wardrobe, while the other had old kitchen furniture. The studio, apartment no. 4, had been made by combining two apartments, which made some of the light switches awkward to reach. The four beds were single beds pushed together, but they were okay. Check-in was also a hassle. We called ahead, but couldn't get in at the advertised 2 PM and had to wait until 3. The person handling check-in seemed overwhelmed and didn't know which apartment we were assigned, despite our booking confirmation being in the local language. It took another 30 minutes and three phone calls to sort out. The kitchen was only partly usable. The combined gas and electric stove had no gas, so only two burners and the oven could be used. The two separate hot plates couldn't boil about 5 liters of water in 30 minutes, though the kettle worked. There was no coffee maker or coffee tester. The knife wasn't in great shape and I couldn't find any sharp ones. There was just enough crockery unless everyone wanted cereal, since there was only one bowl. The fridge worked, but its door shelves were broken. The bathroom was small but adequate, though the faucet was too big for the sink and the air conditioner drained condensation into it. The shower cubicle was too small for the basin and wouldn't close all the way, so water leaked onto the bathroom floor and made slipping more likely. For four people staying ten days, there were only two rolls of toilet paper. We asked for a fourth bath towel after getting just three for four people, and it took five days to arrive. The air conditioners worked, but seemed not to have been cleaned or serviced for a long time. There were no instructions, so it took time to figure them out. Satellite TV had channels only in the local language. Wi-Fi struggled when the building was full, with its six apartments. There was a rooftop terrace with a beer garden set, three plastic chairs, and a round plastic table. A smaller balcony had a plastic chair and a clothesline about three meters long, but no towel drying rack. The apartment was generally clean, though there were a few old cobwebs in the corners. A broom, mop, and dustpan were provided. The location near the sea was good. There was a garage on the property, but it was only for the owner or landlord. Otherwise, there were three spaces in the courtyard, two right outside the property, and more parking nearby. For us, the accommodation no longer deserves three stars. I'd give it at least one star.
