B&B Villa Vis

Charming, cozy, and clean, B&B Villa Vis is a special place, just a short walk from the water. Hard to beat. I'd love to come back someday ❤️

Villa Vis is exceptionally clean, and it's perfectly placed for local facilities. People mention the spiral staircase a lot, but I didn't find it much of an issue. A bit of improvising and enthusiasm does the trick. We had a very good stay all round. Tatjana is such a friendly, welcoming host that you quickly feel at ease. Staying here feels a bit like being at the home of a favorite aunt or a good friend. I'd highly recommend Villa Vis for a visit to this wonderful island.

My room was spacious, with a great bed, a large bathroom and shower, and a nice sofa. The whole place feels like a friend's home crossed with a design space and a movie set. Tatijana was kind and respectful from the moment I arrived. She lent me a screwdriver to fix my razor, gave me restaurant tips, then let me get on with my day. The much-mentioned superbreakfast really is great, and she gives you time to enjoy it without a crowd. I had privacy and my own space, while still feeling cared for in a quiet, subtle way. It was genuinely good, in a relaxed way, and far from boring or fake. Highly recommended!

The location worked perfectly for us: on the east side of the bay, away from the ferry terminal's bustle, but with bars and restaurants just 20 to 30 meters away. The Lambik Lounge was closest and became our favorite place to meet up, read, and have a beer. We first booked three nights at Villa Vis, but after chatting with Tatjana and her partner over one of their amazing breakfasts, we knew we'd want longer on the island. Since it was midweek, we could add a couple of nights, and I'm glad we did. The villa has a relaxed, almost yoga-retreat feel, and we learned that it serves as one for a few weeks each season. We stayed in the Green Room, which was immaculate, with a huge bed, a good shower, a lounging area, and its own street entrance, so we didn't have to pass through the shared area. Breakfast was amazing, but I'll leave the details as a surprise. On early-start days, like when we went SUP boarding or wanted to reach a beach before it got busy, Tatjana packed it as a kind of brunch. They also gave us helpful tips on restaurants, activities, and the best times to go. It was a near-perfect week, and one of the few places I've thought about returning to. Highly recommended.
