We stopped in for lunch while waiting for our ferry in Vis town. The hotel looks clean and simple, with a very Yugoslavian feel. The seafront was clean and the water crystal clear, though the beach has big stones, so bring shoes. The lunch was magnificent, and the woman who served us was kind, polite, and helpful. There’s no luxury here, just a warm place with delicious food. If you're nearby, pop in.

The rooms are decent and clean, and the cleaning staff were very nice. The food was OK, though I wouldn't call it very good. It's a decent hotel in a lovely spot by the entrance to the bay, with Fort George and Vis city within walking distance.

We were disappointed with our visit. The beds are very old and uncomfortable. The TV was mounted to the side of the bed instead of across from it, so one person couldn't see it properly while watching. A church tower nearby rings very loudly on Sundays. That's technically not the hotel's fault, but if you want proper rest on vacation, I wouldn't stay here.

The hotel does need renovation, and it’s already in their plans, so I won’t repeat what many others have said about that. Even so, our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The staff were amazing, especially the baristas Tomislav, Ivona and Samira, who made it even better. The kitchen, dining room, and bar teams were all warm, open, and extremely helpful. There was plenty of food, with something different each time we ate breakfast or dinner. We had no problems with the options, and refills were always available. The food tasted really good, and if we didn’t like something, there was something else to choose. For the staff and food, this hotel deserves five stars despite needing renovation.

The setting and views are hard to beat on Vis, and getting around from here is really convenient. Rooms are clean and decent, though the food is average. The hotel has that old socialist-era feel, like ex-Yugoslav hotels from the 70s or 80s. It’s missing only Tito’s photo by the entrance. Keep your expectations modest and you’ll be fine.
