Casa Bumbara is a lovely little house in the heart of Vodnjan, a town we've loved for years. Our usual apartment overlooking the square wasn't available this year, so we booked this as soon as we found it. It's arranged over three floors, with a big kitchen and living room downstairs, a fabulous bathroom on the first floor and a great double bedroom in the loft. The stone floors and ceilings are beautiful, and the house stayed cool all day, so we hardly needed the AirCon. Everything is tastefully done, and it feels like a real lived-in home. There's a lovely outdoor area with a table, chairs, loungers and a BBQ. The house is well stocked, from washing-up liquid and toilet roll to coffee, sugar, oil and vinegar, handy when you only need a little of those basics. Martina met us there, handed over the keys and showed us around, all very easy. We also got a bottle of Malvasia wine and some local olive oil, a nice touch. Highly recommended, though please don't book it for the time we'll be back next year!
