The terrace is roomy, and the apartment is spotless and nicely decorated. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the center. At the host’s place, you can also sample and buy their quality homemade wine and olive oil.

The owners are really pleasant. They also sell traditional treats, including what they say is the best extra virgin olive oil, along with wine and prosecco.

It may be private accommodation, but staying here feels like being at home with family. The hosts work incredibly hard, are honest, and help with everything they can so guests feel happy and looked after.

Prices on Hvar are absurdly high. We paid about 1,170 euros for 18 nights, or around 2,500 euros for an 18-day holiday. That still seems cheap compared with the rest of what’s on offer, though I’d call it expensive for Croatians.

They were happy to accommodate us with our dog, no problem at all. The place was great, and we took some of the owner’s wine and olive oil home after trying them. Thanks!
