Apartments Valentino

For the €200 a day we paid, the quality just wasn't there. In all my years in Croatia, this was one of the ugliest apartments I've come across. It felt like a commercial space converted into holiday accommodation. The furniture was old, and for six people the refrigerator was office-sized and not working properly. The cookware was poor too. One bedroom had a high window that couldn't be opened because it faced a courtyard basement. When we did open it, a cockroach came in, and after that we went days without airing the room for fear something else might get in. There was also a small bedroom with two beds. The supposed third bedroom was actually the entrance hall, with a broken Venetian blind on the door, so it felt like everyone on the street could watch us sleeping. The bathroom had no window.

We've stayed at Apartment Vallentino several times and have always been completely satisfied. The rooms are clean and practical, and we had another wonderful holiday. Christian is a very friendly, helpful host. We'd love to return.

We had a great stay in Vrsar (Orsera), even though it was a little off our route to the Plitvice Lakes. Christian, the owner, was incredibly kind and speaks perfect Italian. The rooms were spotless and the place was welcoming. There's no reception, but one call was enough and Christian arrived right away. Dinner at his restaurant 2 palme was perfect too. We'll definitely be back.

We had a five-person apartment with two bathrooms and a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. It's a little out of the way, but you can see the water from the apartment. The owner was very friendly, and everything was organized really well.
