Domestic House Lola

That lunch for two was a real treat. I tried the pork cheeks with polenta, and the tender meat went so well with the soft, creamy polenta. Lola made a casual lunch feel memorable. We keep coming back as a family for weekend get-togethers. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is warm, and it's our favorite place to relax over coffee or juice while the kids enjoy cream pies. The service is attentive without hovering, too. Whether you're with family or having a quiet meal for two, Lola is a cozy, welcoming spot with quality food. Highly recommend it.

The only downside for me was that wine is sold by the bottle, with no option by the glass. Otherwise, the beautiful interior and great food made for a really good experience. Restoran adds something to Vukovar's fine dining scene. Highly recommend 👌

I ended up spending all six days in my room after being diagnosed with Covid the day after I arrived. If you have to quarantine somewhere, this is a great place for it. The food was so good that I ate nearly every meal from the hotel restaurant, including ribs, chicken, salads, soups, steaks, and several Slovenian specialties. They have made-to-order breakfast and a full menu through the day. The staff were pleasant and incredibly helpful, bringing meals and whatever else I needed to my room. I had planned a six-day stay in Vukovar and chose this hotel based on its reviews and photos. It wasn't until after checking in that I realized I'd toured the building 13 years earlier to see the war damage. Back then it looked beyond repair, but now it's been restored and updated beautifully, blending calm modern touches with historical elements. My room was spacious, with 10-foot ceilings, large traditional European windows opening onto the street, handmade modern furniture, and modern fixtures. The bed and full-size sofa were both very comfortable. It felt almost like a fairytale place.

We had a wonderful meal here and hope to come back soon. The main course was a meat platter for four, with four types of meat, potatoes, and rice. It was a little different from the usual platters, but tasted excellent. The homemade soup was delicious too, and the chocolate cake for dessert was something special. It's a lovely little restaurant in central Vukovar, with public parking nearby. Going up the stairs felt like being in a luxury American movie. Inside, there are beautiful chandeliers and lots of thoughtful details, creating a cozy, warm atmosphere. We'll be thinking about this meal for a while 😀
