Vukovarska Kuća

The Gurmanska pljeskavica was a great call from the restaurant staff. It's a little spicy, so keep that in mind if spicy meat isn't for you. The minced meat, bacon, and cheese combination was exceptional, and the portion was huge. I'd pair it with baked potatoes and Vukovarsko beer. The location is lovely, in a park forest with a big terrace, and the service was exceptional. There are plenty of other dishes to try, including local specialties and river fish. I'll come back next time.

The beautiful surroundings of Vukovarska kuća at Park adica Vukovar were what first impressed me when I visited last weekend. Both the interior and exterior offer privacy indoors, or the chance to enjoy nature when seated outside. The staff were well trained, polite, helpful, and especially patient with guests facing language barriers. Prices are much cheaper than on the Adria coast. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing for me. I have some kitchen-work experience, and was surprised to get old, dry chips with meat that was dry too. One waiter honestly asked if the food was edible. That could have been a routine way to ask for feedback, but it also seemed to point to problems in the kitchen. Based on what I ate, I'd say the latter. The live music was so loud that quite a few guests seemed to go outside to talk or have their drinks somewhere quieter. I don't like leaving feedback like this, since it may just have been one bad day in the kitchen and I may have visited at the wrong time.

There’s plenty of room both indoors and outside, and parking is provided. The quiet, peaceful setting was a big plus. We had excellent food, friendly and accommodating service, and very reasonable prices. A great spot for lunch or dinner in Vukovar, definitely worth a visit.

The setting is lovely, right by the woods and park, so kids can play nearby while you eat. The staff were amazing and really friendly. Our ćevapi and punjena pljeskavica were pale, not tasty, and still pink inside, as if they hadn’t cooked long enough. They didn’t seem grilled at all, and we left some uneaten. They offered to remove the returned food from the bill, which was fair enough. The food could be better.
