Villa Croatica Apartments

The hosts were the best part of our stay. They spoke English and were keen to sort out small issues quickly. There’s a washing machine and private, lockable parking. The area itself is quiet, with the beach just minutes away, and we always found a spot by the sea. Two supermarkets are within easy walking distance, though the walk back is uphill. There isn’t much nightlife if that’s what you’re after. This review is for the bottom-floor accommodation without a pool. There are two separate buildings, and a new build sits right outside this apartment. The apartment was livable, but it didn’t match the photos or our expectations, and I don’t think it was worth what we paid. It needs a proper deep clean and some investment. The kitchen and bathroom were dirty, and both bedrooms smelled of mold. The kitchen by the toilet smelled of urine, even after cleaning. The room with the single beds was especially bad: we aired it all day, every day, but the mold smell kept coming back. The furniture and kitchen appliances are worn and mismatched. The water heater is small, so after one person showers, the next person gets cold water. There’s only one air conditioner in the sitting room, not in the bedrooms, and the outdoor units on the bedroom walls make them vibrate when it’s running. The Wi-Fi ranged from very, very slow to very slow. A good deep clean alone would improve the place tenfold.

The views are lovely and the host was great. I couldn't fault the place, and there's a tiny pool out the back as well. Amazing place to stay.

Just a few steps from the sea, the accommodation was clean and very well equipped. The owners were perfect too. We'll be happy to come back.

A great place :)
