Apartment Franco

The place worked out well for a quiet holiday away from the crowds, and the price was good. We stayed six nights. The room was in decent shape and the mattress was good, so we slept well. The beach is a lovely sandy one, only 200 m away. The location is convenient if you have a car or don't need to go into the town center every day. On foot it takes 60 minutes, by bike 35, and by electric scooter 25. Without a car, that distance is worth bearing in mind. The kitchen is a decent size for two, though we barely spent time in the apartment and didn't cook. We only used the kettle and toaster for breakfast. We missed having an iron, and there's no way to do laundry there for a longer stay, so you'd have to pay someone in town. It wouldn't suit a longer trip if you don't bring enough clothes. The owner wasn't there while we stayed, so nobody looked after the outside areas. Dried leaves made the front of the house messy, and since we were on the ground floor, our entrance was often a bit dirty until we swept it ourselves. Still, it's good accommodation for the price if you want a quiet holiday.

The owners reply fast whenever you need something, and it's such a lovely place. The sea is only a 3-minute walk away!

The room at Villa Franco was comfy and cozy for our short visit, and the price was affordable. Its location made it easy to see the city and nearby sights. There aren't as many facilities as at a larger place, though, and the lack of a washing machine could be a hassle if you stay longer.

We felt very well looked after by both the owner and the housekeeper, who were kind and helpful throughout. After we had to cancel our booking last year for personal reasons, the owner let us keep the deposit and put it toward a 2025 stay, which we accepted. The apartment itself is spotless, roomy, air-conditioned, and has a large terrace and everything you need. It's close to the beach, shops, and bus stops, but away from the crowds. I'd happily recommend it, and send our best to Villa Franco.
