Apartment Lukin

The bed was really comfortable, but that was about the only good part of the place. We paid 750 kunas for what felt like a hole of no more than 15 square meters, and it took about 1.5 hours to get to the center if we weren't rushing. My friend and I were really disappointed and lost a lot of time there. We hadn't been given the apartment we booked. We'd reserved a reasonably roomy studio with a bed, a couch, a decent-sized bathroom, a big kitchen area, and a balcony. Instead, the windows looked onto a noisy shared patio where tourists were coming and going up the stairs all the time. There was no privacy, and the place didn't have enough room for two people. Inside, the kitchen was tiny, with dented, sloping ceilings that made it awkward to do much. A little coat-hanging area led to a baby-sized bathroom with just a shutter. If you've got a big bum, the toilet is impossible to use comfortably. The shower was regular sized. One step farther in was the bedroom with the big bed, and a little round eating table crammed in there too. There weren't any cleaning supplies, not even a wipe, so you had to buy them. There was just one roll of used toilet paper. At least there was a washing machine, so you could wash your things with dish soap. Props.
