The host was welcoming and helpful, made check-in easy, and shared useful local tips. The place was spotless, with stylish, cosy decor and thoughtful touches, and it felt like good value for the price. It’s close to the old town, shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. There’s a pub downstairs that can be noisy in the evenings, though closing the window kept most of the sound out, and it didn’t bother me much. The first-floor apartment means climbing a flight of stairs, which could be an issue for anyone with mobility problems. The kitchen is dim and short on some amenities, so cooking may be inconvenient. Still, it’s a solid, good-value short stay in Zadar for travelers who care more about location and style than having every amenity.

We really enjoyed our stay in Zadar. The room was clean, and the host was accommodating and gave us plenty of useful information about the city. The only problem was the air-conditioning, which wouldn’t really work, so we had a hot night.

The apartment itself is pleasant, loft-style, and reasonably quiet, with friendly people around and a central location. It’s in a former Italian consulate, later divided into smaller units during Soviet times. I’d have given five stars, but parking and check-in were difficult: you park, walk about five minutes to the centre, then meet someone in a cafe to get the key.

Inga deserves special thanks for sharing tips and bits of history. The room was beautiful, set in a historic building, and everything felt high quality, with careful attention to detail.
