A really quiet area, with a few restaurants that cost less than places in central Zadar. The hostel is great, the people are lovely and helpful, and they welcomed us with a glass of local alcohol. It was very clean, and breakfast was good with enough to eat. Bikes are available too, which makes it a great way to explore Zadar and the surrounding area.

It's a mixed bag. The hostel is mostly clean, has the expected amenities and is very close to Diklo beach. But there are no locks on the room lockers, and the room gets just one key for everyone to share. The sheets slide off while you're sleeping, and there are no mattress protectors. Breakfast is bread with warm, slimy ham and cheese. Nothing stands out as one huge problem, but the little annoyances add up. To reach the beach, take bus 8 from the terminal or old town, then walk uphill to the hostel. It's 12 kuna each way.

The owners are really friendly, and the other guests seem friendly too. I spent two nights in a dorm while traveling by bicycle. The beach and some excellent restaurants are within walking distance, and the bus to Zadar leaves right outside.
