Hotel A'mare

We left the car elsewhere before checking in, which was a good call because parking nearby is tricky. The old town is around a 10-15 minute walk through quiet residential streets, and there are a couple of gyms about 200m away. We used one on a €15 day pass and it was great for a workout. Breakfast had lots of nice choices, though it could get a bit crowded. The hotel itself is a lovely little place, clean, modern, and well equipped, with a gorgeous air freshener scent. The rooms are well appointed and very soundproof. A very cute hotel, and I’d gladly stay again if I’m ever in Zadar.

We only had two short nights at A’mare Hotel, but it was well worth it. The place was easy to find and felt welcoming as soon as we arrived. We’d read a few comments about a bad neighborhood, but we didn’t feel unsafe or uncomfortable there. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with the crispest white sheets I’ve ever seen. You can tell the staff take cleaning seriously. We also had trouble with our car being towed, through our own fault. The front desk staff went out of their way to help, and because they knew the company, they got us sorted quickly. We had the car back in less than an hour. When we asked the bartender for drinks to take to our room, he was happy to help and even brought a small ice bucket. [Deluxe Double Room]

We had our child with us, and they even brought an extra small bed. The rooms are small but practical. Parking was a challenge, though we eventually found a space. The air conditioner leaked all night and left a large puddle, but they fixed it very quickly and cleaned the room really well. Breakfast and the restaurant food were delicious, and the prices were fair, not expensive. We stayed two nights and had a great time. Since we come to Zadar every few weekends, we’ll definitely be back. I highly recommend it.

I regularly lead pilgrimage trips with my wife, and this was the worst experience we’ve had. We brought a group of 40 people and made all the arrangements through Natali. Only when we arrived did we learn that the tour bus couldn’t pull up near the hotel to unload. It had to park more than 400m away, so everyone walked to the hotel and we paid for taxis to move the luggage. Natali knew we were bringing a group but never told us about this. Some members were over 80 and had to walk while pulling their smaller bags. The desk staff did their best to help and accommodate us, so I’ve given their service 3 stars. Natali gets 1 star. We’d planned to have dinner at the hotel, but the group decided not to spend any more money there. A bit of advance communication from Natali would have helped. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
