Villa Calypso Royal Apartment

The apartment was excellent and had only the best equipment. Our car broke down, so we had to fly home, and Tony kindly mailed us the things we couldn’t take with us. Thanks again to the very nice, helpful hosts. Full recommendation!

The apartment is huge and feels very modern, with roomy bedrooms and bathrooms, a combined kitchen and living area, and two balconies overlooking the pool. I loved the kitchen so much I’d want the same one at home. There’s a big garden with a gazebo and pool, plus parking on the property. The old town is about a 15-minute walk away, and taxis are fairly quick; a supermarket and several bakeries are nearby too. The owner was lovely and welcoming. I’d happily come back.

The three balconies were a real treat, with comfortable places to sit for morning coffee or a glass of wine later. The pool was just for us, and every bedroom had its own bathroom and a small walk-in closet. The apartment was spotless, the kitchen had everything we needed, and fruit, wine, and other drinks had been left for us. We also had our own entrance, with the owners living right above. The garden is beautifully kept, and the property has a large driveway, an electric gate, and plenty of parking. We were greeted at the gate, and arranging things over WhatsApp beforehand was quick and easy. Our hosts checked in on us and shared good restaurant tips. When the power briefly went out while canal work was going on, they brought us an excellent bottle of wine to make up for it. It’s a quiet residential spot, and we felt welcome from the start. If we return to Zadar, we’d stay here again. A real gem, and easy to recommend.
