The pool and barbecue were great to use, and the setting is nice, though the apartment looked smaller than it does in the photos. The knives were so blunt that preparing food was hard. We cleaned, but still had a deduction from the safety deposit, so leave the place spotless if you want the full amount back. Nearby building work wasn’t the hosts’ fault, but the jackhammer woke us early. We were offered a €50 airport transfer, but Uber and Bolt are available in Croatia and their prices are very competitive, even for a large group.

We stayed as a group in summer 2018. The landlord was lovely, and it was very clean and especially suited to a larger group. There were four bedrooms with eight beds altogether, and two bathrooms upstairs. Charcoal was provided for the barbecue. Two supermarkets were nearby, and town was about a 10-minute taxi ride away. An elderly lady lives in the basement, but we never saw her and it didn’t cause us any trouble.

We found the place very family-friendly, with a washing machine that came in handy and a barbecue area that worked well. There are four bedrooms, a big living room, a modern kitchen and air conditioning. The pool, outdoor shower and two terraces were all great. The shower room and main bathroom could use some improvement. An older woman lives downstairs in the basement, though we hardly noticed her.

The main downside for us was the lack of air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms. It was over 30 degrees Celsius, which made sleeping difficult. Otherwise, the house had everything we needed, and the pool area was great, with plenty of room, loungers and a barbecue. The owner was friendly, explained things when we arrived, and then left us to ourselves. An older woman lives in the basement, but she was pleasant and we barely noticed her. We had plenty of privacy.
