Villa Stella

The bathroom made a big difference for me as a wheelchair user: it’s roomy and set up so I could use it comfortably on my own. That same thoughtfulness carries through Villa Stella. The apartment is clean, modern, spacious, and fully equipped, with enough room to get around without constantly improvising or needing help. I felt welcome, not treated like a guest with limitations. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that call themselves accessible but aren’t practical day to day. This one in Zadar felt genuinely planned with accessibility in mind. The hosts were kind, helpful, and respectful throughout, and took my needs seriously. One of my best holiday apartment stays as a wheelchair user. Highly recommended! 💪🏽👍🏽

The beach is around a 10-minute walk, and you’ll want water shoes because it’s very stony. There’s a grocery store about two minutes away and several restaurants nearby. The area itself is quiet, though the walls are thin. There’s a construction site next door, but luckily no work was happening while we were there. The apartment matched its description and was very nice. The kitchen has the basics for cooking and is well equipped, though there’s no toaster. The fridge and air conditioning only run while you’re in the apartment.

The welcome was lovely, and the modern apartment is well equipped with all the amenities. It’s in a great location, too.

The owner is a lovely person and speaks excellent English. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, and just right for four people. Shops and restaurants are easy to reach on foot, with the closest shop only two minutes away. I recommend it.
