The staff were really friendly and welcoming. I only stayed two nights before my flight, and the hostel is about a 20-30 minute walk from the centre and the sea. If you’re tall, ask for a top bed! The dorm door often dragged along the floor and made a loud sound when moved, which kept waking people up. The mattresses also felt pretty worn.

We were only in town for the night, so the roughly 15-minute walk into and back out of the city was easy enough. If you stayed longer, the hostel might feel a bit far from the main action. For a budget stay in Zadar, I’d recommend it, since everything worked perfectly. The room was good for the price, with a private bathroom, decent shower, air con and a desk. Staff were incredibly friendly when we arrived and gave us plenty of local tips. I also liked the communal areas, decorated with sailing photos and icons. It seemed like people connected to sailing have an association with the hostel.

I had a really good time here and even made friends while I was staying. The common room has a TV and Wii, though I couldn't find any games for it. The rooms have A/C that doesn't blow right onto anyone, plus a locker and a little pouch for keeping things in overnight. It's about a 15-minute walk to the centre, so be prepared to walk. The hostel has what you need: a kitchen, good showers, free cereal and coffee. Everything was very clean, and the person working there was friendly and happy to chat.

Petra was a lovely host and pointed me toward the best places to see around town. The hostel was very clean, and the people I met there were great. Prices are good too. No doubt I’ll stay again when I’m back in Zadar.

Josipa was really helpful and had good suggestions for things to do in the city. Tea, coffee, milk and cereal are free, and there’s a big supermarket, bakery and coffee shop nearby. The hostel is nice and reasonably priced. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city centre, but that’s totally manageable. I only left because it was fully booked.
