There’s nothing positive I can say. The dishes, toaster and stove were all extremely messy and dirty, and so was the bathroom. The towels looked like they were from the 1990s. The owner knew when the guests would arrive but hadn’t switched on the heating. Asking whether the fridge should be turned on is absurd. This place is nowhere near four stars.

The heating worked at first, and we were told it had been fixed, but it was switched off in the middle of the night. After the New Year’s celebration and drinks, everyone in the apartment fell asleep in a temperature that was far too low. The result is visible in the picture above.

I’m honestly very disappointed. The radiators had limits on them, so even when the heating was on when we arrived, we couldn’t turn them up enough and we froze. When we found out there was no heat, we asked the owner to fix it. She said, “You’re young, what do you need heating for?” Then the heating was turned off overnight, and four of the nine people got sick. She also came to the apartment to collect the remaining money we’d said we would bring once the rest of our group arrived. It was inhumane.

I wish I’d taken a photo. The apartment was filthy, the fridge looked as if it had never been cleaned, the bedding was dirty, and the drains were clogged with hair. There were cobwebs too. I can’t find words for how messy and disgusting it was. The children were in shock.
