The lobby staff were lively and very helpful, and they looked after guests at any hour, even at 2 a.m. when travelers couldn't sleep. As a solo traveler, I was very happy with the facilities. The hotel is ideally placed, just a half-minute walk from the center, and it's the only hotel in town that's truly clean and has hardwood floors instead of carpets. I liked the breakfast selection, with plenty to choose from. There are also lots of delicious restaurants nearby serving local specialties and international food. There's much more to do in Zagreb than eat, though. I can personally recommend this hotel, and I'm sure I'll be back.

The breakfast alone made an impression: Turkish eggs I liked even more than the ones I tried in Istanbul, a nice range of sourdough, and five kinds of milk. The bar has a big menu and a skilled mixologist, and the tea service is elegant, with helpful advice for tea lovers. There’s a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, and pool with a cascade and underwater massage in the contemporary spa. The hotel itself has a lovely art-filled boutique feel, and the service is professional but easygoing. Right in the middle of a lively city, it would suit a weekend away or add something special to a work trip. I’d gladly return to stay, eat at the restaurant, or spend time at the spa.

A good pick if you want to be comfortable and close to everything. The center is an easy walk away, and the rooms are quiet at night, with a comfortable bed and clean, modern design. Check-in was quick, and the staff were helpful and treated us well without seeming fake. The shared spaces look stylish but still feel relaxed.

The location is central and makes it easy to walk around, but the hotel still feels calm once you’re inside. We especially enjoyed the spa: pool, sauna, steam bath, and jacuzzi jets, and it never felt overcrowded. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had, thoughtfully done and relaxed instead of chaotic. Our room was smart and comfortable, and everything worked as it should. Theo at the front desk also handled a couple of booking problems quickly and calmly, and was genuinely accommodating. Spectacular art gives the place real character. It isn’t a hotel for the masses, which I mean as a compliment. We’d happily come back.
