Canopy by Hilton Zagreb - City Centre

The room was peaceful and the service really impressed me. I had the pleasure of staying here twice last week, and I'd happily come back again and again. It faces the railway, yet the town centre is within 10 minutes by car or public transport, and the airport is a 15-20 minute drive. The bed was so comfortable, with high-quality sheets that made it feel like sleeping in my own bed. The room was large and spacious, with all the mod cons and a huge TV. The bathroom was bright and immaculate, and the shower had strong pressure. Breakfast had lots of choice and something for everyone. Fresh filter coffee was waiting at each guest's table every morning, and it was delicious. Lunch and dinner in the same restaurant were excellent and reasonably priced too. The staff were kind and helpful. The key card holder says “Check out great”, and that's exactly how I felt, refreshed and feeling great when I left. This will be my first choice next time I'm in Zagreb. Keep up the high standards, team, you're doing a great job 👏

Marijana at reception gave us helpful advice about a flower show in Zagreb while we were there, and I'd like to thank her and all the staff for their warm welcome and help. There were too many people to mention individually. We stayed at the Canopy by Hilton for a couple of days. The room was comfortable, very clean, and well serviced. The hotel is in a perfect spot for exploring, close to many places in Zagreb. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of options, and the hotel restaurant had a good menu. It's a first-class hotel.

The lobby and front desk team were a real bright spot: friendly, attentive, and engaging from the moment we arrived. They offered recommendations, and although our room upgrade was delayed, they handled the issue well and ultimately resolved it. Luka also stood out at the bar for great service. I chose Canopy Zagreb for a special birthday trip after enjoying the consistent style, welcoming atmosphere, and strong service culture at other Canopy properties, including San Antonio and London. The rest of the bar team was disappointing, though. In the morning, afternoon, and evening, staff often seemed overwhelmed, disengaged, or inconvenienced by guests. That inconsistency was noticeable, especially since I enjoy spending time at the hotel throughout the day and the bar is usually a strong point at other Canopy locations. Construction noise starting around 7:30 AM was disruptive. I understand it may be outside the hotel's control, but clearer communication or steps to reduce its impact would help. The location gets two stars because construction is expected to continue for a long time. The view is almost embarrassing to share on social media, just a wall of graffiti, though I can appreciate the artistry. The front desk's professionalism was appreciated, but the bar and noise made it hard to fully enjoy the stay. With improvement in those areas, the property could meet the high standard I've come to expect from Canopy.

Canopy by Hilton Zagreb has a stylish modern look, but also feels welcoming and comfortable, with design touches that suit the city's lively character. I also liked the local details around the hotel, which gave it a sense of Zagreb's culture and personality. The staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was another highlight, with plenty of variety and high-quality ingredients. Whether you're here for a weekend, longer stay, or just passing through, it's a charming and comfortable choice that can make a Zagreb visit feel special.
